The Y&L Interns
It’s summer time and you know what that means – Y&L Summer Interns return!!!
This year we are excited to have new interns already onboard and raring to go! It’s always a breath of fresh air to have young people buzzing around the office, asking questions, listening to different types of music and thinking that our jokes aren’t funny. We all learn from them as much as they learn from us during this time.
We have tons of projects kicking off so there will be plenty for each of them to do in addition to learning things like programming basics, project management, contra., salary negotiations, etc. Let the fun begin!

“With the help of Mr. Sengar and the Y&L Consulting team, I was able to explore and receive hands-on experience about blockchain and its industrial applications. Over the past couple of months, Mr. Sengar and I have focused on researching blockchain technology and its utilization in the health insurance industry, yet the work and research I conducted not only helped open my eyes to the many industries blockchain can help transform, but also introduced me to the business world. This internship gave me the skills essential to be able to learn and thrive in any office setting, and I look forward to exploring this budding technology in the near future.”
In recognition of Sara’s outstanding achievement, she was awarded the certificate of excellence.

She has also received several scholastic scholarships to Abilene Christian University and St. Mary’s University. Some extracurricular activities she enjoys include reading, Krav Maga, Taekwondo, and Kick Boxing.
Claudia’s duties as a Y&L intern include working in the sales department collating RFP responses, proof-reading documents, attending meetings, and learning how to give presentations and participate in consultant interviews. Her time here has provided her with insight to the business world as well as various process and communication skills that will benefit her in her engineering profession and life in general. According to Claudia, her internship has bolstered her self-confidence and her ability to function well in a professional environment.
Vishal Kale is a junior at Texas A&M in College Station majoring in psychology and minoring in computer science. During high school, band was a big part of his life. He won several international marching band competitions, and views this competitive activity as an integral part of making him the person he is today. At A&M, he participates in many student organizations on campus, including the Psych club.
At Y&L, Vishal has had the opportunity to work in Sistema Technologies’ (Y&L’s government branch) Austin office. This has allowed him to experience an alternate focus to Y&L’s traditional business model and identify the similarities alongside the differences. Vishal has come to appreciate the variety of personalities present at Y&L/Sistema and sees the company overall as a very genuine and friendly place to work. To him, it feels like a big family.
